Features that make observing the sky with our instruments unforgettable.

Why choose Vaonis in your quest for exploring the Universe? Sky observation with Vaonis is unparalleled because it relies on instruments with unique embedded technologies. Using our products means accessing all the features presented on this page, and gathered under the name ENS, for Embedded New Solution.

Focus on the essentials thanks to our AcutENS technology which allows you to achieve in one click razor-sharp images.

Vaonis instruments are the only ones equipped with a engine ensuring automatic focusing before and during observation (Live Focus), delivering the sharpest images possible.

With a precision of 18µm, AcutENS allows you to quickly start your night of observation while guaranteeing you to use 100% of the instrument’s optical potential.

Algorithms developed by Vaonis, based on the frequency analysis of a sequence of images, make it possible to calculate the best position of the sensor in less than a minute.

Our AcutENS technology guarantees you to easily explore the Universe with clarity.

A precision four times
greater than the thickness of a hair.

Our solutions.

Open the window of your imagination and multiply your instrument’s potential with CovalENS, the first “panorama mode” ever embedded in a telescope.

CovalENS is the fruit of years of research resulting in a registered patent. It enables you to explore a much larger area of the sky than the initial field of your instrument.

This extremely easy-to-use feature enables you to change the composition of your photos, get ever more breathtaking results and enjoy an even richer, personalized deep sky observation experience.

Resolution
up to 8MP

Personalized
framing

A field of view
up to 3.2° x 1.8°

Our ResiliENS technology is the first of the technologies aimed at taking into account the meteorological environment of your instrument.

Our autonomous defogging technology is available for all our instruments*. Using the temperature and humidity sensor measurements, the defogging algorithm specifically developed by Vaonis can anticipate the appearance of fog**. This way, you can observe for long hours even in difficult conditions.

Defogging is only activated if necessary, when the humidity/temperature pair approaches conditions that can generate fog, or if the temperature is below 5°C, thus allowing economical management of the battery, so you can enjoy the starry sky even longer.

* Built-in to Stellina, optional for Vespera
** After warming up the instrument

BalENS

BalENS is Vaonis' latest proprietary technology, designed specifically for the Vespera Pro series. This innovative advancement significantly enhances the overall imaging performance of our telescopes. Here’s a detailed look at what BalENS offers.

Signal Enhancement

Dynamic Balance: By playing on the balance of signal dynamics, it boosts the weaker elements and calms the brighter ones. This results in the capture of fainter astronomical objects and finer details within celestial images.

Noise Reduction: By implementing sophisticated noise reduction techniques, BalENS minimizes the electronic noise that typically hampers long-exposure astrophotography. This leads to cleaner, and smoother images.

Color Balance.

Accurate Color Representation: BalENS employs a precise color calibration process to ensure that the colors in the images are true to life. This involves correcting any color imbalances and providing a natural look to the celestial bodies.

Uniform Sky Background.

Background Flattening: One of the challenges in astrophotography is dealing with uneven sky backgrounds. BalENS addresses this by flattening the background, ensuring uniformity across the entire field of view. This is especially useful in minimizing gradients caused by light pollution or atmospheric conditions.

Key benefits

Enhanced Image Quality.

Users can expect significantly better image quality with BalENS.

User-Friendly Experience.

The automated nature of BalENS means that users do not need extensive technical knowledge to achieve excellent results. The technology handles complex adjustments, allowing users to focus on enjoying their stargazing and photography experience. It can be turned On/Off from the Singularity app settings.

Versatility.

BalENS makes the Vespera Pro versatile enough to be used in various conditions, whether in a light-polluted urban environment or a dark-sky reserve.

With BalENS, Vaonis continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in consumer astrophotography, bringing the wonders of the universe closer to everyone with unparalleled clarity and ease of use.
