Astronomer by night, astronomer by day! Observe the closest star to Earth during the day with the Vespera solar filter. The filter allows you to observe sunspots (dark spots) that show the intensity of the Sun's activity.
Photograph the Sun with Vespera
The Solar Mode allows you to observe the Sun in almost real-time using the live display*. Capture photos at any time from the Observation tab of the Singularity mobile app.
Take several shots at different times of the day, week or month and compare your photos. Witness how the Sun's activity changes with the appearance or disappearance of sunspots. These can have a life span of several days, more rarely several weeks.
Sun spots monitoring
Automatic video recording for solar/planetary observation is not yet offered in Singularity. To make an animation, retrieve your photos in jpg format from Vespera's internal memory and put your photos together using photo/gif animation software.

Observe safely
The filter is made of glass with a dimming effect. It will reduce the amount of light and allow you to observe the Sun in a way that is safe for your instrument. You will be guided through every step of your adventure by the Solar Mode of the Vaonis Singularity app, to ensure the observation runs smoothly and that you and your instrument are safe.

I dedicated to use a filter adapter knock off (advertised to no damage the scope, and function perfectly.)
They were right it damage the scope when closing (tested it manually first.)
And yes the scope acquired the first target of the night.
After that the scope could not locate the next target. So is useless in a Multi-Night Session.
I returned it
The Filters I bought from Vaonis are seamless. And the quality is superb.
The are worth the money and the CS from Alex and Agnes as always was quick and helpful

Not much to say here. It's a solar filter that performs as expected. I do appreciate the contacts so there's communication with the telescope, that's really neat.

La lunette Vespera est extraordinaire de simplicité et permet l’acquisition d’images sans avoir à investir dans du matériel plus onéreux et plus complexe à mettre en œuvre. Je recommande ce matériel pour les astronomes amateurs débutants mais aussi pour les plus expérimentés car c’est le parfait complément pour ceux qui pratiquent l’astronomie visuelle et qui souhaitent franchir le pas de l’astrophoto graphie.

Le filtre solaire fonctionne parfaitement. Il n’altère pas la qualité des images. Il est reconnu automatiquement. Le temps de recherche du soleil, même en prépositionnant bien le Vespera est assez long (plusieurs minutes).
