The Solar Mode allows you to observe the Sun in almost real-time using the live display*. Capture photos at any time from the Observation tab of the Singularity mobile app.
Take several shots at different times of the day, week or month and compare your photos. Witness how the Sun's activity changes with the appearance or disappearance of sunspots. These can have a life span of several days, more rarely several weeks.
Sun spots monitoring
Automatic video recording for solar/planetary observation is not yet offered in Singularity. To make an animation, retrieve your photos in jpg format from Vespera's internal memory and put your photos together using photo/gif animation software.

Observe safely
The filter is made of glass with a dimming effect. It will reduce the amount of light and allow you to observe the Sun in a way that is safe for your instrument. You will be guided through every step of your adventure by the Solar Mode of the Vaonis Singularity app, to ensure the observation runs smoothly and that you and your instrument are safe.

The Vespera Pro 2 telescope performance is amazing at night ,now I can also use it in the daytime to view the solar sunspots .
The filter is easy to use and simply does what’s expected of it - I can view the sun.
The biggest downsize is the plastic case used for storing of these filters. Usually I have to tinker with the filter to fit into the case properly. If it was just a milimeter bigger, it could fit more easily.
This solar filter was purchased with a Vespera III telescope. I have used a similar solar filter on my Stellina and on my Vespera Pro. Stellina produced a basic white light image with rudimentary detail. The Vespera Pro had more pixel resolution. But, I was impressed with how much surface ganualtion I sould see with this solar filter and the Vespera III. It seemed more like an image I would expect from a Hershel Wedge.
This was just a quick experiment as my preferred viewing is with a Lunt 152mm Double Stacked Hydrogne Apha Solar Telescope.
