Vespera II redesigns the experience of observation. Watching the stars through our mobile app allows you to fly accross the vastness of the Universe all together with your friends or family. Connect up to 5 mobile devices to your station with the multi-user mode, then share your discoveries in Ultra-HD on social networks. You can now share your passion with everyone.
Make visible what’s invisible to our eyes with Vespera’s image live stacking technology. Super easy to use, just set up the tripod using the adjustable legs, and press the button. Let Vespera come to life and calibrate itself through your devices’ GPS and Star Field Recognition technology. Using the app, select the object you want to observe, and Vespera will point and track it.
- Auto-initialization: Vespera uses your mobile’s GPS, star pattern recognition and astrometry to calibrate itself. Set up your device and get it ready automatically in less than 5 minutes.
- Auto-alignment: The observation station embarks Go-To technology. Select a target in the app or enter any celestial coordinates, it will move and point to them automatically.

Quadruplet Apochromatic Refractor
Vaonis has designed a unique quadruplet lens of 50mm, formed by 2 groups of 2 lenses made with lanthanum glass. Vespera optics is one of the most accurate and powerful optical designs on the market with minimal distorsion, chromatic aberration or astigmatism.
High sensitivity Sony sensor
Vespera uses one the lastest Sony sensors developed for extreme low light. Its back-illuminated CMOS sensor offers a 1/2.8 format and a 2.9um pixel size. Vaonis also developed their own electronic card to make sure that heat management stays optimal. A hot sensor means a lot of defects, so the sensor board is designed to dissipate the maximum amount of heat.

Take Vespera with you wherever you go
Weighing only 1 kg, the bag makes it easy to carry Vespera when traveling or enjoying an evening under the stars. It's small enough to fit easily in the car or on public transport. It can also be transformed into a hiking or leisure bag by simply removing the removable interior compartment.
Protect your station
The backpack is made of a soft material that is resistant to rain, dust and wear. The Vespera's shell is protected from impacts and scratches thanks to the foam padding over the entire surface of the bag and a fully padded interior. The compartments and numerous pockets prevent the accessories from rubbing against the observation station.

Fog is one of the many enemies of amateur astronomers. In a cold or humid environment, droplets and fog can form on the lens of telescopes and cameras, affecting both the quality of observation and photos.
The Vespera hygrometer is an intelligent accessory that measures the temperature and humidity threshold of your environment at which fogging occurs on the lens of your station.
It is ideal for people living in a humid region (sea, ocean, river, lakes, ponds, etc.) or in a region where temperatures are cold. The sensor is also great in winter when temperatures are close to 0° Celsius.
Anti-fogging system
By equipping your station with this sensor, Vespera's integral demister will activate when a certain temperature and humidity threshold is reached. Heat generated continuously around the lens will remove the fog, creating better viewing conditions and sharper pictures.
Improved focus
The condensation that produces fogging affects the focus of Vespera's photo sensor:
- Initialization and acquisition times may be longer because a larger number of photos will be rejected by our image processing algorithms, which check the quality of the images and discard them if they are not of sufficient quality.
- The sharpness of the pictures, which in astrophotography is mainly judged by the sharpness of the stars and the absence of any halo, is not as good.
The hygrometer and the associated demisting system will improve both your observation and your photos.
A discreet design
Measuring under 13mm, the hygrometer is equipped with an electronic board which is the smallest board our expert engineers have ever designed. The sensor fits discreetly into Vespera’s optical arm and is compatible with the use of filters. It will automatically turn the anti-fog system on and off, so you never have to worry about it.
