It's hapening right now!
Witness the maximum solar activity.

The Sun is entering a phase of peak activity, part of its roughly 11-year cycle. During this period, sunspots multiply—these are cooler areas where powerful magnetic field loops pierce the Sun's surface.

Observe and capture these phenomena now with Vespera and Hestia.

Get ready for the total solar eclipse visible in Europe on August 12, 2026.

The total solar eclipse is undoubtedly the most awe-inspiring and breathtaking natural show. It's a moment when day turns into twilight, stars twinkle into view, and the sun's glorious corona takes center stage. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you absolutely won't want to miss!

Why are there total solar eclipses?

The Sun is 400 times larger than the Moon. However, it is also 400 times farther from Earth. For this reason, the Sun and the Moon appear to be the same size when viewed from Earth. Since the Moon orbits around Earth, there are times when it perfectly aligns in front of the sun. The bright disk is completely covered, and the prominences and solar corona that extend beyond the disk, which are normally invisible due to the intense brightness, become visible for a few brief minutes.
